LPN Readmission Exam
The LPN Readmission Exam is an assessment used to readmit former LPN students with prior Practical Nursing credit.
Students who have been unsuccessful in nursing classes in the past (D, F, or W) can apply for Advanced Standing Admission to Fletcher Technical Community College Practical Nursing Program.
The Department of Nursing and Allied Health does not have a separate class for students requesting advanced standing. The student’s application will be reviewed, and placement will be made in the ongoing class provided there is a vacancy, clinical space, qualified faculty to teach, and all admission criteria have been met.
Students applying for Advanced Standing must complete ALL the requirements outlined in the current admission guide posted to the program page as well as the following additional criteria:
- Students may be asked to supply course descriptions from the prior school’s catalog along with transcripts indicating both numerical grade and letter grade.
- Nursing courses the student is seeking credit must have been completed no more than three (3) years prior to the requested semester of admission.
