Instrumentation Technology

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Instrumentation Technology program provides specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students for employment as an instrumentation technician for industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, power generation or water treatment facilities. Students will learn valuable skills including the installation, testing, maintaining and calibrating electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic instruments and control systems that are increasingly reliant on automation. After graduation, some possible avenues of employment include, but are not limited to, petrochemical plants, offshore automation, water/sewage treatment plants, food/beverage processing plants and environmental quality/emissions monitoring.
