Marine Diesel Engine Technician

The Marine Diesel Engine Technician Program prepares a student to diagnose, service and repair marine diesel engines.  Students are instructed on how to overhaul engines and their component systems; repair marine transmission and hydraulic systems; welding; and rigging.  The instruction also includes the use of technical manuals; preventive maintenance procedures; communication and employability skills; and safe and efficient work practices. At the completion of the Marine Diesel program, students are prepared for employment as an entry-level marine diesel engine technician.
