ParaPathways Assessment

The ParaPathways Assessment is designed for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals and measures skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

ParaPathways includes two computer-based subtests:

Reading and Writing (5758)
Qualifying score: 332

Mathematics (5759)
Qualifying score: 334

Testers may take both subtests together as the full ParaPathways Assessment or schedule either subtest individually. To meet Louisiana's testing requirement, qualifying scores must be earned on both subtests.

The ParaPathways Assessment is proctored at the Schriever campus only – 1407 Highway 311, Room 127-A.

DO NOT GO TO THE THIBODAUX CAMPUS TO TAKE THE EXAM.

ParaPathways Test Retake Policy

You may retake the test once without a waiting period. If another retake is needed, you must wait 21 days after your most recent attempt before testing again. After the waiting period, you may retake the test up to two additional times.

Test Cost

• Full ParaPathways Assessment (both subtests): $85
• Reading and Writing Subtest: $42.50
• Mathematics Subtest: $42.50

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled testing time.
