ParaPro Assessment

The ParaPro Assessment for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals measures skills and knowledge in reading, mathematics, and writing, as well as the ability to apply those skills and knowledge to assist in classroom instruction.

The computer-based test consists of 90 multiple-choice questions across three subject areas of reading, mathematics and writing completed within 2.5 hours. Approximately two-thirds of the questions in each subject area focus on basic skills and knowledge and the remaining one-third of the questions focus on the application of those skills and knowledge in a classroom setting.

Unofficial scores are available on screen. Official score reports arrive by mail approximately 2 – 3 weeks after the test date. Contact your school district to verify the qualifying score. Fletcher Technical Community College does NOT establish the passing score for any school district. Each district sets its own qualifying score.

The ParaPro is proctored at the Schriever campus only – 1407 Highway 311, Room 127-A.
