Machine Tool Technology

Machine Tool Technology Program is the study of using machine tools to manufacture products and parts.  The program involves operating machine shop equipment such as manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment.  Students will learn to calculate speeds and feeds; dimensions for layout; and use of precision measuring equipment. Students will also develop a basic understanding of CAD/CAM programming. Fletcher’s program provides specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students for employment in the following fields:
