Fletcher has an open-admissions policy and serves persons on an equal priority basis. Any person above the age of 16, regardless of prior academic preparation may be fully admitted to Fletcher as long as the following criteria are satisfied: (1) the person has completed and submitted an application for admission; (2) the person has provided proof of selective service registration as required by Louisiana R.S. 17: 3151; and the person has satisfied the requirements of Louisiana R.S. 17:170 related to the immunization of persons entering school.
Any persons 16 years of age or younger must, in addition to the requirements stated above, provide proof of graduation from a state-approved high school or high school equivalency to be fully admitted to Fletcher.
Admission to all programs is made without regard to race, religion, national origin, gender, or qualifying disability. A high school diploma or general education development (GED or HiSET) is required for admission into Nursing and Allied Health programs.
This policy does not apply to dual enrolled high school students.
Registration/First Day of Class
The first day of the Spring 2023 semester is January 17, 2023. The last day to enroll in a full semester class is January 20, 2023. Fletcher also offers courses that start on March 20, 2023 (Session 4) and the last day to add classes for Session 4 is March 21, 2023. Additionally, Fletcher offers a variety of industry-based certifications and workforce training that has continuous enrollment. Registration assistance and academic advising are available in-person, Monday through Friday, 8am – 4pm. Inquiries may also be sent to enrollment@fletcher.edu
SafeStart
Fletcher offers three types of classes: fully online, hybrid (some face-to-face instruction, some online), and on campus. Students are strongly encouraged to check Canvas for any communication from their instructors.
COVID19-Testing & Vaccination Information
