Schriever, LA - The Fletcher Foundation will host the Fletcher 75th Diamond Jubilee Gala on Thursday, July 9, 2026, as part of the college’s year-long celebration commemorating 75 Years of Changing Lives.
The gala, one of four signature events planned during Fletcher’s 75th anniversary year, will be held from 6–9 p.m. in the Main Building on Fletcher’s Schriever campus. Guests can expect an evening of live music, food, drinks, dancing, networking, storytelling, a silent auction, historical displays, and other surprises celebrating Fletcher’s impact on the region since first opening its doors on July 2, 1951.
Inspired by the decade Fletcher was founded, the event will feature a 1950s theme, and attendees are encouraged to take a step back in time and come donned in their best 50’s attire.
“For 75 years, Fletcher has helped transform lives by creating opportunities for students, strengthening our workforce, and serving the needs of our communities,” said Dr. Kristine Strickland, Chancellor of Fletcher Technical Community College. “This celebration is about honoring the people, stories, and partnerships that helped shape Fletcher’s legacy while also looking ahead to the future of our institution and the region we serve.”
Proceeds from the event will support the mission of the Fletcher Foundation, helping to advance the college’s efforts to serve students, strengthen workforce development, and meet the evolving needs of the region.
Tickets for the Fletcher 75th Diamond Jubilee Gala are $75. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Community members, alumni, students, faculty, staff, retirees, donors, and anyone whose life has been impacted by Fletcher are encouraged to participate in the college’s ongoing 75th anniversary storytelling campaign by submitting their Fletcher story at Fletcher Technical Community College’s 75th anniversary website at fletcher.edu/75th.
