(Schriever, LA) - The Fletcher Technical Community College Foundation is proud to announce a significant expansion of student support for the 2025 calendar year. A total of 269 students have been awarded $148,421.99 in scholarships across the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025 semesters.
This achievement underscores Fletcher’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to education and reducing financial barriers for students throughout the Bayou Region. Scholarships, funded through the Fletcher Foundation and generous industry and community partners, help students pursue degrees and workforce credentials aligned with South Louisiana’s most in-demand career fields.
“Scholarships change lives. They relieve financial stress, open doors, and empower our students to take the next step toward achieving their goals,” said Fletcher Chancellor Dr. Kristine Strickland. “We are grateful for the continued support of our donors and partners whose investment strengthens our workforce and builds a brighter future for our region.”
Fletcher’s scholarships support students across a wide range of academic and technical programs including nursing and allied health, welding, electrical, maritime, business, precision agriculture, and transfer pathways. This year’s increase reflects the college’s strong focus on workforce development and student success.
Scholarship recipients will be honored at an upcoming recognition event celebrating their achievements and acknowledging the donors whose generosity makes these awards possible.
