University of Holy Cross and Fletcher Technical Community College Add New Credit Transfer Agreements for Business and Nursing

Fletcher students with business or nursing degree credits can now transfer credits to UHC

(New Orleans) – The University of Holy Cross (UHC) and Fletcher Technical Community College (Fletcher) have signed articulation agreements between their business and nursing programs making it easier for students to transfer credits from Fletcher to UHC.

Fletcher students will now be able to complete the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Business Administration and transfer credit hours earned in the various concentrations within that degree and apply them toward completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in Accounting degrees at UHC.

In addition, a 2+2 program will allow Fletcher students in the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program to complete the first two years of study at Fletcher and transfer all credit hours to UHC for completion of the Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Students transferring to UHC may complete the last two years of their course work at UHC.

The two agreements were announced and signed today by UHC President Dr. Stanton F. McNeely III, and Fletcher Technical Community College Chancellor Dr. Kristine Strickland.

The articulation agreement between UHC and Fletcher marks the first articulation agreement signed between the two schools.

“These new articulation agreements with Fletcher Technical Community College provides current Fletcher students with a solid foundation in business and nursing backgrounds the perfect opportunity to transfer to UHC,” said UHC President McNeely. Our Business Administration and Nursing programs are committed to helping students transfer to our New Orleans campus as seamlessly as possible.”

“We’re so pleased to sign this agreement with the University of Holy Cross,” said Fletcher Chancellor Dr. Kristine Strickland. “Agreements such as these provide our students with exceptional opportunities to continue their studies and earn their next degree. We appreciate the UHC’s recognition of the work and commitment of our students in pursuing their degrees and affording them the opportunity to efficiently transfer without losing any credits they have earned.”
