Introduction to 3D Printing
Curious about 3D printing? This hands-on introductory class will explore the fundamentals of how 3D printers work, the process of turning a digital design into a physical object, and the different materials used in 3D printing. Learn about common printing materials such as standard PLA, flexible TPU, and specialty wood-infused filament while seeing real-world examples in action.
Participants will get a live demonstration of the design process, create a simple project as a group, and watch a 3D printer bring a design to life. The class will also explore creative applications such as lithophanes (3D printed photos) and custom miniature figures.
