Employee IT Resources

Employees experiencing IT issues can submit a ticket by logging into the Helpdesk portal or e-mailing

  • Fletcher IT personnel are often out of the office working on support tickets. The best way to contact them is via a helpdesk ticket.
  • Support tickets & voicemails that arrive outside of normal operating hours will be replied to as soon as reasonably possible on the following business day.

If an employee forgets their computer or e-mail password they can reset it using the Fletcher Self-Service Reset Tool.

With all of the hacking attempts in our lives today, LCTCS has implemented additional login protection for Banner called multi-factor authentication.  They have chosen Duo by Cisco’s service, and have applied MFA to all staff and faculty links in Banner.

If you experience any issues with DUO please submit a helpdesk ticket.

SmartNotice is an emergency notification system used by Fletcher Technical Community College to inform students, faculty and staff of an emergency situation via email, cellular text or telephone.  It may also be used as a method of communication during hurricane evacuations and college alerts.

**PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to sign up and to log in, update necessary information, or delete your account if you do not wish to participate.**

First time setup:

  • Note:  If this done on a college owned device (laptop, etc) you will need to get with the IT department to perform the install.  If this is on your personally owned computer you shouldn’t have any issues.
  • You will only need to do this once on the computer you plan to use.
  1. Go to
  2. On the login page please enter your computer credentials used to log on to your WORK computer
  3. Click the Download FortiClient link to download the VPN software.
  4. Choose your Operating System (Windows, Mac, etc)
  5. Once the download has finished, open and install the program.

Logging into Fletcher VPN:

  1. Click Start and Open FortiClient VPN.
  2. Click the "I acknowledge..." box and click "I accept" button.
  3. Click the "Configure VPN" Link.
    • Connection Name:  Fletcher VPN
    • Remote Gateway:
    • Port: 443
    • Authentication: Prompt on login
    • Save
  4. Login with your WORK computer credentials.
  5. Notification will show that you are now connected.
  6. Disconnect when finished working – open the FortiClient in the taskbar and click Disconnect.

    • Microsoft Office comes with a full version of Office which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and more. Microsoft Office is a user-based service and allows each student to install on up to five computers (Windows or Mac), tablets, and smartphones.
    • To Install:
      • Enter your Fletcher Employee Email Address and Password and click “Sign In
      • Then select “Install Office” In the upper right hand corner of the webpage.

All employees voicemails are set to be delivered to the phone and emails for single inbox.  If you are not receiving your voicemail in your e-mail are experiencing any issues please submit a helpdesk ticket.

Checking Voicemail Remotely:

  • Call your own number from an outside line and when their voicemail picks up perform the following:
    • When voicemail picks up, press *
    • It’ll prompt to enter your ID – Enter your extension and press # (example 7925)
    • Next it’ll prompt for your pin – Enter voicemail pin and press #
