Fletcher's Nursing Program Receives Candidacy for Accreditation Status by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
HOUMA, LA-Fletcher Technical Community College (Fletcher or College) recently received notification from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC) that it has granted candidacy for accreditation for the College's Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program.
"This is the first step in the accreditation of our ASN program. We are very pleased with achieving the status and thank our faculty and staff for assisting the College in this process," stated Vice Chancellor William H. Tulak.
The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) is responsible for the specialized accreditation of nursing education programs (Clinical Doctorate, Master's, Baccalaureate, Associate, Diploma, and Practical programs). The NLNAC has authority and accountability for carrying out the responsibilities inherent in the application of standards and criteria, accreditation processes, and the affairs, management, policy-making, and general administration of the NLNAC. The NLNAC is nationally recognized as a specialized accrediting agency for both post-secondary and higher degree programs in nursing.
